generic[String]

Generic identifiers can be used for any identifier that does not fit into the other categories. For example, a manufacturer may have a custom identifier for a product that is not covered by any of the other identifier types.

gmns[String]

Global Model Numbers (GMNs) is a standard from GS1 which allows manufacturers to describe products and product families. The GMN and GTIN share the same Company Prefix (GCP) in the specification. A single GMN may have several GTINs.

gtins[String]

Global Trade Identification Number (GTIN) is an identification standard for all trade items developed by the internaitional non-profit GS1. GTIN is a superset of other standards, including those in the US, Europe, and Japan, and thus may be 8, 12, 13, or 14 digits in length. GTIN consists of the following formats and encodings: GTIN-8 / EAN/UCC-8: 8 digits; GTIN-12 / UPC-A: 12 digits; GTIN-13 / EAN/UCC-13: 13 digits; GTIN / EAN/UCC-14 or ITF-14: 14 digits
